GBC-NICCC by All You Can Execute

GBC-NICCC by AYCE

This is not *the* AYCE GBC prod just yet, but taking on the ST-NICCC Challenge is the next best thing

From the technical side, there's nothing that new (your usual scanline rendering of polygons and LOTS of division lookup tables), BUT there's a new HDMA routine which breaks real hardware instead of emulators for a change! Oh, and also we switch palettes every frame to get more colors (make sure you turn on frame blending in your favourite emulator!)

The ROM requires the MBC5 memory mapper with the extra 8k of RAM which is REALLY useful for buffering frames.

Included are two versions of the prod:
- gbc-niccc.gbc - polygon rendering ends faster, but there will be lots of visual artifacts on hardware
- gbc-niccc-safe.gbc - slower polygon rendering, but looks nice on hardware

Full credits:
Natt - code (polygon renderer, dotplotter, credits), main music
DevEd - code (intro text), main music
IssoTM - code (polygon renderer)
Doc - graphics (credits font)
Twoflower/Triad - graphics (AYCE credits logo)
Zlew - credits music

We send virtual kisses to Laxity for creating the original tunes, Stéphane Hockenhull for the Game Boy Tracker and the player code, Leonard/Oxygene for the original ST-NICCC 2000 prod, and to Heaven/TQA for challenging the whole scene!

We're hoping that we will get to kiss our homies in real life soon enough too!
See you next party!
