. As you may have heard through the grapevine, .
. we've started work on this engine about 3 years .
: ago (before Clean Slate!), mostly from scratch, :
: and this is our first "real" attempt to spend :
. some time with the new features and see what .
we can do with it.

. This particular intro is a bit more centered .
. around tech than what we usually do: there are .
. quite a few new tricks, like improved physically .
: based rendering (we did have an early version :
. of that in Clean Slate already, but just roll .
with us here), fluid dynamics, GPU-accelerated
. particles, and a few upgrades on the synth .
: as well. We're still learning how to utilize :
: all of this properly, but the potential we see :
: in it is quite intriguing. :

. The intro itself has been inspired by the .
wonderful work of Roman De Giuli - obviously
. we went around it the hard way instead of "just" .
: filming stuff, but who said demomaking should :
: be easy and convenient? (Don't answer that.) :

: As you can imagine, the combination of new :
. tech and time running out may have caused the .
: intro to be a bit more resource-heavy than we :
. hoped for, so make sure you have plenty of .
: graphics memory - the 48GB from the Revision :
: compo machine is probably a good start. :
