Corporations must be put under the people's control, or there is no future.

And then this (I'm No_Seaweed something, it seems my comments though inoffensive was deleted in 10 minutes)

I was saying on Reddit that the solution didn't work now and that Gemini causes 2 GDPR violations.

For those who don't want to click, I've naturally saved the extended conclusions in independent clouds and local. In part spurred on by Bonefish posting about .NET CLI telemetry, but these are thoughts that *should* be obvious to a thinking human, whatever your opinion is about oil, war, space, enslavement, or AI.

~

(...dotnot telemetry, selling your data etc...)

This is classic Microsoft since 2000 (and long before that) - the meta is this: "Hey, this random product that we hobbled together happened to get popular, now let's use it to force our will on the non-consumer and let's stop with this market economy stuff with sellers, buyers, and competition."

Even more meta is that if you have more money than the other guy, you can use that money to prevent the other guy from getting as much money as you.

Basically, it's like when someone strong beats on a weak guy, except strength is less random, The weak guy (if not a woman or sick or impaired; genetics) can train and defend himself, but money is more random due to marketing - you can make a brand or product strong even if it's weak, if you just pay money.

I think both of these are pretty bad and should be eliminated from human culture. When the Earth is dominated by a single "winning" corporation and the rest are fighting with their life over garbage, alien invaders will laugh their head off and take over the planet in about five minutes.

It's rather hard to avoid the conclusion that in order to have human culture and a space exploration future, powerful "entities" such as leaders, companies, or other owners of wealth must be continually deprived of strength while we have a brain and a vote, before automated military paid for by that money turns humanity into meat.

We can put corporations under the people's control, now. Later, we can't.

This is completely regardless of any personal opinions about freedom, liberalism, conservatism, "liking gas cars" or "hating environmentalists" and all this fluff you see. Everyone who has every opinion under the sun will be irrelevant, if corporations are not put under the people's control.

Now, this thread started about an AI assistant SPYING ON YOU (with proof in the thread). -> Platform -> Popular -> Inject spyware without asking (or asking forever until you try or randomly click, or just by auto-update) -> Spying -> Data -> Cloud -> Power over you.

The corporations have money. Oh, they have money. They can buy countries. They can give you all you want for free and not add spyware. (In fact, it's easier not to.)

But it's not enough, you see. Just the money to keep you poor, plus make you pay for what they can provide for free is not enough.

They must also spy on you, in case another corporation wants to buy your data - or they find a use for it themselves. Your non-private searches, and your vote-ups and responses to questions on forums, have (from scraping, which e.g. Google forbids unless it's them doing it) provided the data that made AI possible at all.

So it's several levels of subduction, to make humans something much, much inferior to something that is very artificial and inhuman - a company. Yes, even a small company run by one person is not a human anymore.

But the degree to which an inhuman entity like a one-man company can harm a human is vastly less than a powerful company. It is very much required of humans to keep that power very, very low and very close to that of a human.

This is the clearest manifesto for humanism that I can formulate. If humanism could make it into legislation, we have a future, otherwise we simply don't - any inhuman mechanism can make humans into nothing. And we're the only something we know of in the Universe.

So what can you do as a human? - Make any positive corporate news or ads unpopular.

Use a VPN and alt account like a journalist/reporter if you fear repercussions from your government is not strong enough anymore corporate platform, as you see fit.

1. Thumb down or angry-face any positive-seeming corporate news. Even seemingly empowering ones. We lessen their power over us.

2. Post as comment the title of this thread:

Corporations must be put under the people's control, or there is no future.

3. Angrily wave your arms and roll your eyes furiously whenever you see corporate news.

4. Pour beer over a cat. This will be your protest performance.

5. Run around the streets chaotically, confusing the corporations that are watching you via satellites.

That’s how we’ll win! Viva la revolution!
