category: parties [glöplog]

It is our pleasure to invite you to @party 2026!

This is the 16th annual @party and we’re returning to Artisan’s Asylum in Allston, MA USA. There will be three full days of scheduled programming from Friday June 19th through Sunday June 21nd.

The room will have a permanently installed sound system and bigscreen comparable in size to our party systems of the past and you’re welcome to consume meals and refreshments at your computer place. You can’t sleep here though, so please make arrangements for a hotel or roomshare if you don’t intend to stay awake for three days straight.

Stay tuned for further announcements on performers, seminars, and additional program items!

Thank you, and we hope to see you at @party 2026!

Our website is http://atparty-demoscene.net and we do accept remote entries

Also of relevance, and not up for debate: @party’s Stance on generative AI

To be clear, @party is about creating digital art with your own hands and brain. If you don’t know how to do something, there are people here to learn from and collaborate with. That’s supposed to be part of the fun!

If this isn’t what you’re looking for, and you instead want to generate programs, images, and music via a tool backed by the work of uncredited and uncompensated artists and coders, @party is not the event for you. A year from now, maybe we’ll have social standards for how we can ethically use tools of this nature, but for now we’re going to continue doing things the old fashioned way. Thank you for your understanding.

Please check over all compo rules for compos you wish to enter, there may be additional requirements for working steps in compos which until now have not required them. If you choose to not submit an entry because of this, don't worry, we will use the additional time to run workshops.

Honestly if @party wasn't during summer I'd 100% come and bring my two athlete friends who go to Harvard with me enticing them by saying "it's the kind of party Big Jim goes to!"
