fr-055: 828: OFFICIAL FLAMETHREAD 2007 !

category: general [glöplog]
But I thought writing spontaneous stuff on a flim is what the bbs is supposed to be all about. Believe it or not, most people aren't as stupid as they come across on pouet if they are allowed to think twice. And where's the fun in that?

And just let me tell you another thing...

agh... no... I previewed again!

Yeah, come on - the preview button must be for checking out your attempts at BBCode. Real men think before clicking "Submit" and real men almost check out the validity of the BBCode before pressing "Submit", so the preview-function is nothing but a funny looking button. ;)

not even a new design, tableless

This is why I love to taunt Trace so much. He's more of a designer than a developer, which makes him slip up and wish for shit like that to happen to pouet.

Tableless design for pouet makes no sense as it is. The main page is such a convoluted piece of shit that semantics just packed their bags and left for a sunny beach instead. Sure, one can just translate tables to divs in divs and divs and let's not forget a nesting div here and there ...but you can't structure that site into something useful without just sitting down and try to make sense of chaos (not the guy -who is pleasant, the abstract).

Tableless pouet is the new class="left"

since pouet is merely a bunch of "dear mysql, pretty please, will you give me those lines with these columns in this and this tables?" i see nothing against a table based design. my two and a half cents.

speaking of designflaws.. a pouet without <marquee> aint a pouet!
and honestly.. the view i got after pressing 'submit' was terribly funny :)
My thoughts about 828

After watching this demo under several moods, lightsettings, and screens I decided that I love it, and I would put my CDC back if it hadn't got so many.
I completly disagree with the claims that this demo rips any group (mfx, kewlers, and even haujobb) more than any other demo. It's long but it's far from being repetitive. This demo is unique.

Yeah, how 'bout 'em tableless design Knicks, eh? Them sure are struggling with the preview-button qualification this year.

zest: would if it work with ff2 :/
added on the 2007-02-21 08:27:01 by Gargaj Gargaj
Gargaj: you just have to force FF2 compatibility by opening the .xpi install file with any zip tool and edit the line <em:maxVersion>1.*</em:maxVersion> to <em:maxVersion>2.0.*</em:maxVersion>in install.rdf.

If you could add a link to point directly to the submitsshot.php from a prod beside the edit light stuff, it may be useful.
