Does anyone know what synth/romlper this old .mod instrument was sampled from? https://clyp.it/sbdlnscj
What's the name of the sample, and in which mod did you find it? What do you want to do with it?
Hard to say but it sounds like an early digital or hybrid synth, mainly because it's gritty. It might even have been sampled directly from a built-in speaker; like a Casio keyboard.

It does sound a bit like the M1 brass, but at the same time it sounds too rich. The mod sample has more of a metallic twang to it, Casio is a nice suggestion. Oh, and for those curious, the sample is from Gone Down by Spaghetto, and the sample name didn't contain any useful info like the name of the synth. :)
