Maali: Oops, I actually uploaded the wrong file. :) It should be one semitone down from the mix you heard. I have replaced the MP3 with the correct one now, sorry for the pitchmessup.

I actually had a hard time trying to find songs that would fit in the same overall tone (there are not that many to pick from, and my XM/MOD/S3M-remastering project is too timeconsuming for a sunday afternoon mixingsession :)

Oh; if anyone would like to suggest tunes that would fit in nicely with these uptempo bigbeatish ones I already mixed, ]drop me a line at gloom@scene.org please.

its hard to change the pitch of tunes that you listened too many times :)

I once tried a technovibes, had the track selection done but I guess the way I tried wasn't the proper way. I tried with Acid Pro.

Which soft do you use willbe? gloom?

Trace: Acid Pro. ;>

..and yeah, Synthematik is a bit too pitched down, but there is little/nothing one can do about that, without getting a terrible sounding beatmix. I know some other tricks though, so I'll try those next time. The very best thing is to have a good trackselection that does not span too much of a BPM-gap though.

Trace: Btw, if you'd like to co-op on a technovibes, I'm up for that. Back-to-back decking etc. :)

Update: Tried a little pitchtrick on Synthematik, should be better now, and I added a CUE Sheet after popular demand (it is compatible with the last version of the MP3 that's online now, so if you want to use it, get the MP3 again). Be adviced that since the MP3 is VBR, software-players like WinAMP with CUE-plugins will most likely mess a bit with the timings.

I use Magix Music Studio 2007, that is a light version of Samplitude.

Gloom: Cool, I'll see if I find the files and I'll let you know, I must have them somewhere, I had a nice selection.

I was browsing through some music directories today on an old HD of mine and found some old "mix" I did of some intro tracks.

Most of it was recorded to minidisc in 1999/2000/2001, so the quality is not very good. Also the mix can hardly be called a mix, its mainly just cross fading :)

Anyway, I put it online, maybe there is someone who likes it for nostalgic reasons, like I do.

I have not asked permission to any of the musicians, if anyone is bothered by that I will take it offline again.

The list.

The mp3. (83 MB)
Rob-,- -that-is-great-!-!

Nice selection!

Very nice goa/demotrance mix Rob !

Gloom, Rob, are you against linking your mixes into the demovibes webpage ?
Whoever makes some too, please let me know as well.

Thank you for the positive comments!

Willbe: you can link it of course, it would be an honor :)
rob: cool stuff! that said, i just discovered that it should be a RULE that *all* demomusicmixes should have alien sex clone in them!!

Hmm, seems the hosting provider hates big files, it stops the download at random positions.

Any place where I can upload it?
Willbe: No problem, just link it.. or mirror it at your site if you want.

Rob: I'm sure Scene.org would be a good place, or perhaps Willbe can mirror it as well? /pub/demos/compilations/ is the place to put them. In fact; I'm gonna put my files there as well.
