Recommendations for small-business email/blog hosting?

category: offtopic [glöplog]

Looking for something consumer-facing (don't want to maintain my own CMS instance ;) ) with flexible email filtering/autosorting rules. Would love to support viprinet or zetta customers, of course! Anyone willing to share positive/negative experiences with providers? Thanks!

googlemail and github pages?

Good thoughts :) . I haven't used paid gmail - does it have more flexible filtering rules than query-by-example?

There will be at least one other, nontechnical user, so source-code management unfortunately isn't an option. Wordpress.com does the blog side fairly well for this use case, but doesn't do integrated email (as far as I can tell).

If by "query by example" you mean "similar things to what shows up when I search for this the first time" then yes. I don't know about the business side of GMail, but I presume it's at least as capable of the personal one. In the personal one if you click the drop down arrow next to the search button offers a form to filter by from, to, subject, has the words, doesn't have, and whether it has attachments.
it's the same as a normal gmail.com, just using your own domain

else you can get a virtual server with email and host (normal webpages or wordpress).

but from my experience sooner or later you'll want some feature they dont have.

ixwebhosting and bluehost were both decent with my limited experience with them. godaddy also handles those services but it's a lot more expensive.
