LUDICIOUS 2019 - Indie Game Festival feat. the Demoscene

category: general [glöplog]

On February 2nd 2019, Ludicious - the Indie Game Festival of Zürich - will be hosting two demoscene related events on the Finissage evening of Ludicious: Starting at 21:00h and in context of the Finnisage Evening of Ludicious, Mr. XXX/Haujobb will host a moderated demoshow. He will bring you a demoscene selection, showing some of the recent 64K and 4K beauties and demos which are breaking barriers of the possible on ancient or arcane platforms like the C64, Amiga or on Embedded Systems. Plus we surely can expect a few great anecdotes from his innumerable years of demoscene experience: Read more!

The demoshow will be followed by a performance of SleepLab, an electronic music and live audiovisual project and laboratory from Berlin. Interaction designer & demoscene veteran, Pixtur, joins forces with musician & soundtrack composer, Lucid, to bring you eclectic, cinematic sounds and psychedelic real-time visuals that were spawned in the throes of the nocturnal fusion of classical, rave, HC/punk, demoscene and game design: Read more!

Echtzeit and Digitale Kultur e.V. are really happy about this great opportunity to show the demoscene to an affine audience. Together with LUDICIOUS, those two associations teamed up and made this possible. Are you in town on the 2nd of February? Are you anywhere close? Do not miss this show and the chance to meet a few fellow (or new) demoscene friends in realtime.

If you’re completely new to Ludicious, read about it at ludicious.ch, there’s lots and lots more of greatness at this festival and conference, as some of the worlds best game designers and creators are mingling at the festival.

Entrance fees: Get the CHF 20.- ticket where you can not only see the demoscene related shows, but also visit the whole exposition of more than 60 carefully selected indie games on Saturday, watch the Swiss Made Games League eSports Finals or roam around additional sessions and workshops (the workshops subject to small extra fees). Tickets are available starting on Saturday 10:00h and stay valid until you head back home. Of course, all of this is also accessible with a full conference ticket.

We would be more than happy to see some of you there, having a beer, watching a demo - your Echtzeit, DKEV & Ludicious teams.

I am glad you are organizing this event. I have linked to this announcement of yours in the various demoscene-related groups and pages on Facebook I manage (Hugi Magazine, Vienna / Bratislava Region Demoscene & Computer Arts, Generation Y Computer Scientists ... the only demoscene-related FB group of mine I only did not post this to is the group Demoscene Politics).
