Revision 2022 Survey

category: parties [glöplog]
The whole discussion is pointless, anyway. The only way to do a legal demoparty in Germany right now is to have all participants vaccinated. So even if any organizer would have a different position politically, that fact stands.

If you believe vaccination should be optional, have a different legal situation in your country, or are willing to organize an illegal party, please go ahead and just organize that party.

Nobody is preventing you to organize a party on your own terms. So either do that, or shut up on other people's party.

Personally I want to be at a demoparty on Easter weekend, no matter the cost, and now matter how many more vaccinations I'll have to get until then. My personal position further is that Omikron, if it stays, may be the variant we could live with, provided the current data saying that it's no more risky than the flu for most, stands. Which does not mean I would want to have either the flu nor Omikron and therefore support the safety measures put into place. For me the biggest risk for the 2022 party season is that a new, more dangerous variant could show up once more. If that does not happen, we most likely are good to go organizing parties without being unreasonable.

I found the survey well-worded and productive. So all please go vote with it so the Revision orga team can do a well-informed decision instead of seeing a shitty and demotivating flamewar which is not productive at all for anyone.

I thought that maybe we could have decentralized Revision... like local parties happening all the same days in different location / countries and sharing the same compo.

Anyone up for doing one in Florida?

I think scamp's post is a good note to end on.
