Voice changing AI

Talking about AI in the Revision thread …

What do you think of sites like auribus.io? It's technical AI, but includes paying royalties to the artist behind the voices, when these are used. You sing a vocal line yourself and change the voice afterwards.

The alternative would be to contact the artist through a site like fiverr and let them sing the lyrics directly.

Skip the techbro middlemen and work directly with a singer (via fiverr or otherwise). I bet you‘d get a more emotionally refined and better intonated result this way.

Do you know how much the real artist receives from Auribus? Can't find the info on their website... The prices are comparable in both services, but Fiverr takes a 20% commission from the artists, and I think it's not bad.

I've been using Fiverr for 2 years now. Mainly for drums, vocals, guitars, and I'm really happy with it. Each time I need a session release form signed, the artists don't make a big deal out of it.

Yeah, I used fiverr too for some cello performances. But for the voice I need a lot of control. But yeah, will try it with fiverr. If it doesn’t work you will hear another entry with my voice being chipmunked. ;)

Since "nobody gives a shit about what I think", just take okkie's advice. Dear "inner circle (jerk)", please don't gang rape me (again).

100% rather listen to this than AI voice! :D

Have you considered Sennheiser Vocoder as an alternative?
100% agree with okkie. The entire AI voice double thing (for what I assume is peanuts in "royalties") is giving Ursula from The Little Mermaid. Creepy.

I don't think you know the difference between a vocoder and a voice changing AI.

Vocoder: Use a voice signal to shape a synthesizer sound (more or less)
Voice changing AI: I gave you my line, make it so this sound like David Hasselhoff sang this.
Personally I'd be more interested in locally-run speech generator than any of the zillion "pay us per minute" services..

Even better: stop being a coward and go voice training

@porocyon: Even if I train my voice forever I will never sound like a female vocalist. ;o)
