Importance of Greetings nowadays
category: general [glöplog]
Hi everybody!
Since I picked up my scene activity late last year I wondered how you view greetings or shoutouts to groups (or individuals [which was actually new to me]) in scene productions as of now.
I was told that this considered as scene "folklore" nowadays and could be skipped entirely, but I personally think that this is an essential part of bonding (I lack a better term here) of the demoscene community.
Also I take personaly pleasure in making the greetings part of a demo a "thing" by giving it it's of effect and space/purpouse in a production.
I am interested to hear your stance on that topic :-)

Impo, the greetz (both groups and personal ones) are an important and inseparable(!) part of the scene since the beginning (rankings;).
It is also important I think to greet those groups/dudez who are no longer active but were there at some point (and perhaps still are watching demos from time to time =).
Greetz!
