What happened to flashtro.com?

category: general [glöplog]
About intro-inferno, sorry but you don't have to have an account to download the productions or to read the comments. That's like that for a while now.

Now, about registering to view the flashtros, that's a choice. But whatever we choose, they will be always people complaining. Anyway, like here, if you want to comment, you have to login...I don't see teh problem especially since the registration is only 2 seconds. But then again, people likes (at least some people) to complain just to complain.

People complains for nothing, wich is stupid.

Limiting the votes & coments to registered users is a good thing to reduce the noise & spam. But I see no reason to require an account to watch a bloody .swf.

No matter how easy it is to register, most people including myself will say screw that when they try watch a prod and get a request to register.

You really think someone will complain of the lack of user-registration to view Flash-files? I highly doubt that.

Login to comment is something completely different than having to log in to view something, so that's a really bad argument.

Not taking the advice of highly skilled web developers such as p01 is also considered to be quite stupid. :)

Not having to registrate/log in would indeed be great in those cases where you want to link some intro for showing it to a friend on IRC etc. who isn't registrated.

well, without any lack of respect, he might be skilled (no doubt) but it does not mean he's always right. There are indeed some good point to remove the registration, I never said I was closed to the possibility. But for now, it won't change.

Well, at least if you want to keep the registration a requirement to watch a .swf, it would be much easier for the visitors if you included the registration/login form right in the page if the [s]he isn't already logged in.

You got a point, definitly. But thanks to all for your feedback, as you saw this is the first version, it needs improvements and it'll be improved in the future for sure!
