Racers will win every compo at function!
As I suggested on demoscene.hu, I can arrange a guided tour of Budapest (guided by myself, who else), by rented bicycles for visiting foreigners. Anyone wishes to sign up?

For every entry we'd like to ask for a FILE_ID.DIZ, containing the prod's name and author, optionally the compo and party. (Note: Traditionally FILE_ID.DIZ's are 40 characters wide at most.)

gargaj, i owe you a beer for setting this rule! <3<3<3
good to see parties calling for decent packaging.
just one small correction: file_id.diz's are traditionally max. 44-45 characters wide. at least that's what the leading "elite" bbs software - pcb on pc and ami/x and fame on amiga - supported.

dipswitch: true, but I also took the OFM's into account, where showing a directory would pop the file_id.diz into the other panel - that didnt allow more than 40 chars to fit I believe. And this all doesn't make any sense, but hey, tradition or something :D

Hm. In fact, in that case the upper limit should be 38 characters.

Also, it's not a RULE as such, it's just a guideline; we won't DNQ people if they don't have one. (Or we'll just add one, hehe.)

...cubes counting still going on

yeah, many mid- and end-90s parties have had generic file_id.diz's for releases without any. good thing. i'll draw you one later =)

I will enter a prod with a 49 chars wide file_id.diz!!!
Slummy: but but but... we were always so nice to you :''((

How about a FILE_ID.DIZ competition? I'd like to participate if you make one.

Not our style, admittedly. But if you want to sponsor one and be responsible for it, we can support it. (Much like how Truck did for ASCII/ANSI at Breakpoint.)

Very cool t-shirt. Specially the back part.
I hope the current political situation doesn't mess the party :)
Good luck there.

Any effect on the party is quite unlikely - our visitors are usually somewhat cosmopolite, and the location is somewhat polarized from the city core.
