problem is, your life doesn't end with your death.

i heard that after death, you sit down at a table with all other dead people to eat meat.

plek, you just told the greatest reason not to eat meat. :))) You'll have more than enough after you die.

plek you're almost right, but it's not about a table, rather reborning in some carnivore's body. like a cockroach.

I can understand vegetarians who do it for health reasons, or do it cause they don't want to eat something that looked cute until somebody killed + butchered it, but i really can't understand vegetarians who claim to like that quorn stuff. It just tastes like boiled cardboard (and usually looks like it too). And the quorn 'bacon'.... that has to be the most foul thing ever. Strips of white processed stuff of some kind (paper?) with printed-on "bacon effect", and really bad salty bacon flavour that makes cheap bacon crisps taste realistic.

Vegetarians who go on about people long ago eating only plants wind me up too. If you're gonna go back that far, why not go further, right back, and absorb chemicals from mud? It'd be more realistic to go back a lot less, and just eat everything uncooked, including meat.

But perhaps the best thing about vegetarians is that they brought us mushroom lasagne. Not only does it taste much better than the meat one, but it leaves you farting like a trooper for 2 days.

If god didn't intend for us to eat animals, why did he make them out of food?

i was a vegetarian quite long more or less,
and one year actually. still today, i eat very few meat,
but then especially fish and chicken. some things i am conviced of:

1. it's not unnatural to eat meat
2. meat is an economic absurdity
3. we have a choice what to eat
4. it's complete nonsense to make tofu meals look like meat
5. it's not morally superior to be vegetarian
6. it's not unhealthy to be a vegetarian
7. people who don't eat animals they find cute, but eat cows and pigs, are hypocrites
8. people who eat meat but say that butchering is a brutal profession are hypocrites

(just my two cents on the subject)

i still don't get how humans can consume fish and chicken without having to throw up.

fish and chicken together would be hard to hold down. But separate, they both rule. Especially fish.

rac: ofcourse it's not "unnatural" to eat meat, however, slicing up thousands of over-fattened, miss-treated animals factory-style everyday is imho a pretty fucked up thing.

(and yes, i am a vegetarian)

I can't even think of anything more delicious than meat; especially ostrich, deer or hare meat. I like vegetarians though, because they leave more meat for me ^_^

And now, for something completely different...

Do you have any open jobs about Game Programming in Germany?

I'm eating wurstel with spices cooked in a "made in germany" microwave oven which doesn't even have the word "start" spelled correctly in italian.
Not that my english is better than their italian.

btw, I'd accept works in Finland, too. I like both drinks: Vodka and Salmiakki.
Not that I know finnish (or german)... just bored of being here.

Spain, Portugal and France are accepted to, as well as other countries.

If you don't have room for a game programmer, you can exploit me to code shaders for maya, xsi, softimage or to bring pizza at home (giving your pizza-place an exciting italian feeling). I can answer phone too, saying "Pizza Mandolino Mafia Mamma coi Baffi, buonasera! Cosa desidera?".

I have an MsC degree in software engineering, with a final thesis on acoustic simulations, but I'm a good cook too, and Pyromaniac could confiìrm. Maybe.
Btw, pyro, do you have open jobs?

I like many meatdishes, I like vegetarian dishes and even vegan dishes, but one thing is for sertain,

of all different stuff I have eaten, I find german food, and german ways to serve meat, the most discusting I have ever seen, smelled, tasted etc...

after breakpoint03 I didnt eat meat for 2-3 weeks just because I got bad memories from my german food experiance, and I didnt even eat much meat at breakpoint.

this time ill bring a trangakök and some noodles =)

well, just to touch the subject:
usually i'm a vegetarian, but it's not my choice, it's mother nature's and my body's choice. anyway, i like to eat meat too, and i do it sometimes.

"real programmers don't use pascal"
vs
"real vegetarians don't eat egg"

blala, don't mix that up with vegans. =)

but i do stumble more and more on self proclaimed vegetarians who say it's ok for them to eat chicken and fish (which is, remember, disgusting) - because they claim it's ok to eat white meat. that kind of people makes me ponder kinda.

I'm glad I live in a country where vegetarianism is illegal.
