okkie: i'd love to make a demo for the PPC, the problem is that it would prolly end up in a clusterfuck of "REAL DEMOS ARE OCS"...

and I'd love to make one for the PPC, and will eventually, as soon as I figure out how the F* I get time to do that.
bwahaha...clusterfuck! :D great paraphrase for gangbang!

I'm wondering how all the amiga dot effects looked like on the big screen back in the early ninetees, anyone seen them IRL ?

what effects?

Okkie, you best not be saying you've never seen Hardwired.
They're bringing back PPC entries?

FACEPALM
dodge: um... it's not...

Oh well, maybe we should allow Atari entries to fill the compo? Like making up an "68000 fetish presentation compo". I have serval 68000 based machines which are working great...erm except the X68000 has harddisk problems...but who runs demos from harddisk anyways...

Doom: Well, at least we've now got the needed Hardware to accept any kind of weird Amigaish-platform entries in the real wild compo, where such rare systems belong. That doesn't imply changes to competition rules.

T I: Well, I have, and notice my proud stance, *NEVER* owned an Amiga \o/ :D

Though I do know the effect, I was just yanking Oswald a bit!

scamp: Sounds good. So, have you chosen an organizer for the Amiga compos yet? I have one or two questions about the audio.

okkie: I feel sorry for anyone who missed out on Team17 games in the 90s. You have every reason to feel empty inside.

Doom: Which of those games weren't ported for the PC too?

alien breed 3d?

Don't worry, I played my share of Alien Breed :)

And if 'Team17 games in the 90s' is the only reason to have an Amiga, I don't think I really missed out on anything.

Don't forget the power brick to warm your feet in the winter. They were very cosy.

Tribao: Alien Breed 3D 1+2 (crappy games though), Speris Legacy, All Terrain Racing, Super Stardust, Assassin and Full Contact. JSYK \o/. Those that were ported came years after the Amiga releases and gave you PAL optimized graphics on a 12" VGA screen in stead of smooth synced one-frame goodness on a 28" TV with overscan and all.

okkie: There were other game developers! ;) Jesus.. and don't forget the demos, right?

Oh yeah, the power was/is awesome. It keeps your feet warm, and you almost never accidentally switch off the Amiga that way.

Demos? on amiga?

*power brick

okkie: Yeah, there were a couple of them back then. They really sucked though.

I can imagine. I mean, what kind of stuff could one do on an AGA! Nothing mindblowing in 3D I reckon!

(ok, I'll stop now :))
