PC demo hardware to sell/giveaway

category: general [glöplog]

I posted this originally to Asm oldskool mailing list, but thought there might be someone interested over here as well - especially regarding the soundcards.

---

Cleaning up wardrobes I have following piece of hardware looking for a
good and caring home:

* Oldskool demo PC
- 486/66Mhz CPU
- 8Mb RAM
- 340Mb hd
- Cirrus Logic display adapter (works in all relevant 15/16/24/32 modes
with Univbe)
- Gravis Ultrasound Extreme with 2Mb RAM (emulates Sound Blaster where GUS
doesn't work)
- On harddrive a collection of demos and intros from -92 to -96 or so,
starting from Future Crew, Triton etc. PC classics ending to Orange,
Halcyon, COMA era.
- Bonus: Working Watcom 11 + random demo sources included as well. :)
- Mouse, keyboard and a 15" monitor

* Gravis Ultrasound PnP
- Works also in Windows 95 and NT. :)
- 8Mb RAM (I think, there's two banks filled.. haven't tested it)

and the jewel of the collection:

* Gravis Ultrasound Max
- 1Mb RAM
- The one and only soundcard for most of the classic PC scene releases.

All the hardware is located in Helsinki, Finland. No shipping by mail, but
the soundcards can be delivered to various demoparties around the Europe
by request. As all the hardware has still some value, nominal substitions
are accepted.

Please send your offers by email [melwyn (at) scene (dot) org]. Alternatively you can also post stupid remarks and images in this BBS thread.

I want one of those too. So I can play elite.
I'll gladly take the ultrasounds.
