Game modding and machinima in with demoscene ... hmmm interesting: is it classified as wild or something?
Perhaps gloom or gargaj can persuade them to take remote entries from outside US? That way if it turns out the demo compos are dominated by Machinima there could be more traditional demoscene fare to balance it out?

auld2: Machinima and game-modding will run completely separately from the demoscene competitions, but they are all parts of the more creative parts of NVision 08. As for compo-details, they will come.
Okay, that post was ment to clarify things, but I can see how it can be misunderstood, so here is a second attempt: at no point will demoscene productions compete against machinima or game mods.

well those past posts are quite reassuring. I was really doubtful when i read about "largest BYOC LAN party in history" and the "More than 800 professional gamers from 53 countries will battle it out"
now the only sucky thing left is the dates.. from monday to wednesday, wtf?
