i alsways thought that "kill a commie for your mommie" was a joke slogan, but as it seems strider meant it that way...

zest, nobody forces you to buy! i always have the idea that people complaining about "consumerism" must be exceptionally weak-minded, if their only response to "buy this! it's good for you!" can be "eh, ok."
If your country changes TV system from analog to digital you are pretty much forced to buy new consumer electronics if you want to watch TV.

actually the ultimate paradox of our society is that consumerism through advertisement makes humanist services like google ones free and accessible to everybody (on the net).
