evilpaul - if you used my Processing modplayer library with a mod, xm or s3m, you could do loads of extremely cool synced visualisation stuff that wasn't limited to interpreting a flat rendered spectrum. Although you could do both; sync visuals to the notedata *and* analyse the FFT...that'd be cool.
