I've deleted it and ensured to empty the trashcan. IMHO the worst album by The Prodigy by far.

Always Outnumbered, Never Outgunned, was not great, but at least it had some few good enough songs. The new album have not even one good enough song... it is sad. I suppose this is what happens after too many years of drug abuse...

Gargaj: me too - that's their best album, without doubt!

why was "prodigy - live" experience bad ?

The Prodigy haven't mattered for 12 years and will not matter ever again.

I haven't heard the new album, but it's most likely shit. I don't understand why people keep coming back to one-trick-pony bands that stopped being relevant a decade ago.

Yeah, and rightfully so, since everything they released after Fat of the Land has been shit (and Fat of the Land was mediocre to begin with) so I don't see any reason to change my point of view and rather spend my time listen to music that is not crap.

Sounds like Okkie got raped by Liam and Co. at some live event 11 years ago. :)
Nah, I just don't understand why people keep clinging on to old, mediocre bands that struggle to release something worthwhile when they can listen to all kinds of awesome new music instead.

But hey, I guess it's nostalgic to pretend you are still a raver in 1995!

yeah, music for the jilted generation was the best album!

I really doubt we want the new comers to think the demoscene is about shitty albums from groups that should have stopped making music 10 years ago.

Sure, because the demoscene is really about shitty demos from groups that should have stopped making demos 10 years ago. :)

Anyway, the last album was trying too hard to be bad-ass. Hopefully Liam and friends focused a little better this time, and found a medium between gratuitous retro and we're-a-metal-group-now.

Phoenix: I was just using gloom's logic about the pouet.net frontpage. I couldn't care less about troll posts like this one :)
Rob: Well, as much as you'd like it to be, it wasn't a troll-post. Though, if there were BBS-categories, then the problem would be void I guess. :)

phoenix: I found the basses to be a little thin and not really up to scratch. One review I read said something along the lines of "Newsflash Liam: the break-scene has evolved since you were top dog, you need to step up to compare these days", which pretty much sums it up I guess. Still, I have listened to the album for some hours at work and I like it more and more, even though I prefer "Pendulum - In Silico" or "Hyper - Suicide Tuesday" for such styles these days.

Gloom: Saying this isn't a troll post is highly subjective. I don't think it is a troll post.. but I am using your logic :) You consider everything you don't find interesting a troll post or at least it looks like that.

Well, I don't find the prodigy interesting.. so using your logic this is a troll post.

Ok, highly subjective, but that's OK, I guess. You're entitled to your opinion, of course, but perhaps you should TRY to listen to the album before passing judgment?
I just think they made a really cool album this time....
oh so the earlier the works we like, the cooler we are?

well ok my favorite is the 1989 prodigy demo mix tape that only 5 people ever knew the existence of
hmm I don't get all the negative blabla... I really like the new album just for the reason that it sounds like prodigy should sound... and not like their previous erhm try to do "songs".

i'm going to quote Paniq on this one, btw: "The Prodigy albums always mirrored what drugs Liam was doing at the time. Experience - E's. Jilted - heroin. Fat of the Land - cocaine."

And on the last records it's... coca cola? ;)
probably just alcohol, hence the guitars.
