We are looking for demo programmers/crews for a theme evening that we are organizing in the Verkadefabriek in Den Bosch, the Netherlands.

With the Nerdlab evenings we are looking for parallels between art and technology.
The theme of the upcoming edition(September 16th) is demos.

The evening will start with a lecture on art and demos.
Several demo's will be shown during the whole event.

There will also be an elektro live performance and DJ's. (Orgue Electronique en Legowelt)

We are looking for coders who will be "live" programming all evening, on stage and present their results afterwards. (from 19.00 until 23.30). The evening continue until 01.00.

Interesting. I should at least go there and see what happens.

i suppose it will be rather hard to find 10 individuals with the skills to produce interesting demos in 4,5 hours in the middle of an elektro party on a wednesday evening in den bosch. myself, i gotta work the next day, so definitely a no-go. :|

Sceners with a VJ tool might be able to do it. Otherwise, I wondered about the exact same thing :)

There are people who do live coding like Pawfal, Alex Mc Lean. It's a skillset we have not really worked on within the scene. But I think someone with a nice library and some ready made parts (like models or data) could tweak the demo's parameters live on stage. Not easy for sure, and I would actually "rehearse" before hand and write most of the code by heart.

that might be cool, but it has little to do with the demoscene if the content creation part is skipped imho. i'm getting the feeling (once again) that the "realtime" aspect of the demoscene is being misinterpreted here.
