What stolen libs are you talking about? You mean KOS? Well at least it would be perfect to use KOS for the demos because we want to make a professional CD with all the demos on it and give it away for free, but we CAN'T do that with demos done with the official Sega Katakana Devkit cause it's illegal to use it if you haven't bought a licence for it.

You can't order it yet, first of all we have to check how many DC demos will be present at the tUM. Then we can talk about the "where" and "when". :P

well, so the old thread raises up...

Greets to yuo pixman, elend, freeze!
BTW elend what was up with speckdrumm at tUM? we've missed you all!

I like the dreamcast and i will probably make something for it, but i must frankly say that i dislike the idea of separate dreamcast compos. I would like to compete in general console compo, to be able to win not only the "dreamcast bonus", but also for best design and for beating mnemonix who codes lame XBoX demos. :> And for beating whoever tries to win with any of these tiny toys. :>

I would also expect that a DC compo would have few entries and of lower general quality, so on a party with a separate DC compo i would post up some fast-done almost-crap, saving the best snippets for the real big console compo to have better chances there. This really doesn't make a DC compo better!

The best of 2 worlds would be that dreamcast demos compete in a generl console compo - but Dreamcast-Scene.com can go ahead and award DC entries additionally if they have the cash to spend anyway!

Hey eye! *wags his tail and licks your muzzle*

True, indeed it was a lame idea to make a seperated compo. Next time it will be included to the normal console compo.
