I can't believe my text just disappeared :( "types it all up once again"
--------------------------
As some of you may remember Punqtured organized a pre-event for us sceners who arrived a day early in Denmark, together we did a tour through Copenhagen and watched some demos at his place and enjoyed some food and beers. It was really awesome and a great way for people to check out more of the country they travel to than just the inside of a party hall (that's what Punqtured said himself ;) )

So long story short.. provided there is enough interest - I could possibly host a small pre-event in Bremen this year. This would particularly be interesting to those travelling by train or by any other means through the northern parts of Germany. From here, we could travel on as a group - thus we'd qualify for ultra cheap group tickets!

Karlsruhe is 600km away from here, so this pre-event would be for the sake of hanging out together and having a laugh while enjoying some german culture - NOT for planning your shortest travel to TUM (altho possibly a very cheap one (5 people = 16 Euros each!)

I got enough room for at least 4-5 sceners (possibly more) and of course there would be beer and snacks for everyone. And there is Internet (duh!) We could check out Bremen City during the day before heading to TUM the next morning. And of course all sceners from Bremen, whether they plan to attend the party or not, could join us for the day.

But before I plan this any further - it's your turn to let me know if you're at all interested! :)

Sunspire: Wow, that's a fantastic idea! How should people contact you? I can put the message out on twitter and facebook if you like.

The idea indeed is a good one. If it is happening, i seriously consider visiting you in Bremen that day before you drive to the party. Since i am living pretty close to Bremen (in comparison to foreigners), this would be a great chance to get to know some of you. And i am pretty sure, i can talk Virgill into that one day trip, too.

Awesome! I'd go there, too since I'm at Cons' and Virgill's area at that time, too!

Unfortunately, it's not possible for me to attend Tum this year, but I have no words to express how happy I am to see the visit-the-country-before-the-party tradition to spread!

We really had a blast in Copenhagen prior to TRSAC, and I can only recommend people to attend this pre-event if in any way possible. Also - I encourage others to pick up the tradition and offer (especially people from abroad) the possibility to visit the country they live in. Host a small preparty where visitors get a chance to see the town, know some of the local story and plain out have a fun time with other sceners.

Hehe - this is turning into SWAG! Scenemusicians Worldwide Association of Globetrotters! :-D One Fnuque-coder aside, we were all musicians gathered in Copenhagen as well ;)

Virgill: Nordhorn - Ibbenbüren - Bremen?

Haha wow ... looks like this will be happening then ;)
Now that the easy part is done, I need to forge a battle plan and work out the details of the event! First off, here's my email address for this:

demoscene |AT| sunspire-records |DOT| com

- If you would like to participate then please, before anything else, email me to this address to let me know. As of now all spaces are still available.

- I will also need to know how you are going to travel to Bremen, eg. train, plane etc. .. and when you will arrive so that I can pick you up. (I don't have a car myself but that will not be a problem!)

- If you drive here by car I can email you the address and stuff. Free parking may or may not be available next to the house but definitely 2 minutes further down the road.

- Also if you are not going to attend TUM, but just want to be there for the pre-event during the day, tell me so that I can reserve the sleeping spaces for those who require them.

That's all for now to get this rolling ... now about TUM:
You never know what other options may become available but what I've worked out so far is a train ride from Bremen to Karlsruhe using the "cross-country" or "Quer-Durchs-Land" ticket from Deutsche Bahn.

- The Bad: It takes 10 hours, and 5 swaps
- The Good: It's 66 Euros for 5 people, that is 13 Euros per head!
(ticket: 42 Euros + 6 + 6 +6 +6 - depending on how many we will be)

You couldn't possibly get any cheaper to Karlsruhe than this, period! All regular tickets are waaaaay more expensive already, only for one person and the journey would still take about 6 hours from Bremen ... Me and Sentcool have done the very same trip to TUM last year and we've not had any probs whatsoever ;)

That's all I can think of right now, if you got any questions then by all means ask! It'll help me getting everything organized and prepared.

Thanks guys, looking forward to this! :)

D.Fox: "SunSpire: Wow, that's a fantastic idea! How should people contact you? I can put the message out on twitter and facebook if you like. "

By email I posted the address above. I hardly ever use twitter and FB myself, so if you'd like to do this for me I'd really appreciate that :) Oh but please make sure I don't get a 1.000 visitors in the end, that would kinda kill it ;)
-----------------------------------------------------
Gargaj: What a great website, I don't think I've seen it before! It's only a small event tho, I dunno if a public website for it would be necessary. Even tho I admit I was really bored last night, so I did this:

http://www.sunspire-records.com/bremen.html hahaha, cheap flash animation ftw :)
---------------------------------------
chromag, Virgill, CONS: Would be totally awesome to have you guys aboard!! :)
----------------------------------------
Punqtured: Hell yeah all the musicians in one spot - this almost screams for a spontaneous drunk-prod collaboration, bwahahaha

Guess that the lazy-asses Virgill and Cons won't travel to Karlsruhe but I will!

Dear heroes, villains and the rest,

it's time to prepare for the final clash - the battle between good, bad and sofascening. So have a look at our competition rules and start your delightful or mischievous creations.

Compo-PC specs and remote entry information will be available shortly.

Hey fellow sceners,

I'm looking for a ride from tUM/Karsruhe to Berlin for me and my wife (metheara).
We would really appreciate if someone could give us a lift. We would of course contribute to the gas-costs. (50-80€)

So if someone has place left for us, you'll be my hero! ;)

madame,
I would like to enter gfx for freestyle gfx compo but I don't want this
graphic to be spread because it will be used in one of the demos at some
party early next year. Would this be against the rules of the compo?

I dont know about the tUM rules here but to my understanding its like this: once it is released its released and that means its available to the public and spread accordingly.
Of course you can still use it for a future demo...

Correct. A release at a party means releasing it to the public. Exception: your entry is disqualified.

Is there anyone travelling to TuM from the Netherlands and back? I'd like to tag along, if possible.
