Almost suicidal!

category: residue [glöplog]
Hey,
My bitch of a mum had *another* go at me, gist of which is - I'm not earning yet. She's become *unbearable* these days, wanting to *hold onto my hand* in the street, and when I say no, telling me that she pays for my food and internet.

I'm the closest I've ever been to just finishing it all.

Could you guys please just post a bit of stuff to make me feel better?

Thanks.

...thanks SO MUCH you guys! :) ....just KNEW I could count on the scene! I'm going to bookmark this thread, and send personal emails to all of you guys later.

dwarf, that really brought a smile to my face! :)

..but now it's past 2 in the morning, I'm just going to go to sleep now, and read more in the morning.

MUCH LOVE to you guys :)
After spending a lot of time thinking about death when I was 13 gave me a serious fear of dying. I've hit some pretty rough patches in my life and having a healthy fear of death has allowed me to trudge on through. Long story short: If I would have killed myself, I never would have realised my potential.

Just my own little opinion here: I can never understand why people do want to kill themselves, obviously their current situation may be dire. But for all anyone knows, life could get exceedingly better a few months on down the road. Anyone who kills their self are just selling their self short
Exceedingly better, or worse. You're talking easy, which means you're taking what you have for granted (mostly friends and living conditions).

8-bit buggery: I respect your opinion, but when a person is in a pit of despair & depression, they can barely see one day ahead let alone a few months.

What 8bit said.

Unfortunately Gargaj, you couldn't be further from the truth. The only thing I'm taking for granted right now is my project being a success. At the same time it's giving me something to do.

Keito: I agree totally.

This may cause some upset, but again, just my opinion: One persons idea of a hard time could be different from another persons. So telling another person it's going to be all right is purely subjective, (if that's the correct word.)

cant you just kill your mom instead? she's the problem, not you!
Anyways, sorry, this is supposed to be a thread full of happy. :D

You can always count on Maali. XD
In the nicest way bitnaughty - get a job, move out.
Do something other than surf pouet @ 0200 - the motivation increases as you achieve more things. I'm not trying to be mean but it sounds like you're young and unmotivated.

To those who say finding work is too hard - a friend's great-grand father shoveled horse shit during the Great Depression - he got the job cause he could see that there was always going to be horses and their shit to clean up.
Relevant.

don't take it the wrong way tho, life is worth keeping it, even at hard times.

Yes, Maali, that's been on my mind you may be sure. But I doubt I'd do it in a way where I wouldn't get caught.

ringofyre - I don't mind you saying that at all. I'm NOT young, but I'm not the hardest worker either.

I just talked to someone who runs a RHCE course, so I can be a Linux sysadmin. Looks like I finally am going to give in, and take this course. I han't till now, because I had once had dreams of a OS project of mine going places. But it looks like I have finally FUCKING CRACKED under the pressure.

I can't thank you guys enough, me who's never even made a demo. But after I get this job, and some goddamn MONEY in the bank, I think my mind will be partially free so I can concentrate on something cool and graphicy I can share with you guys. I can't tell how much your thoughts mean to me. Love and hugs! :)

Follow up the *expensive* redhat course with an LPIC (less expensive) - I've done both.
You'll get a lot more work with the lpic trust me. Break a leg.

@ Stingray - Sometimes you just have to take things at face value.
