- demo Windows Huh-Ha by JUGZ [web]
- Really love the visual style of this one. It is beautiful art of making such a beautiful experience with mostly simple elements, something that not many can master to this level.

I thought it goes without saying that if you don't care for <foo>, don't watch the <foo> compo, but here we are.
Well the Assembly orgas thought this compo was important enough to cut 1k intros and for this prod to get 96 euros, also we get glops for commenting, that's reason enough!
Oh, you have some information from organizers that the 1k intros would have stayed if there was not this AI compo?
Because I was in impression that this just replaced earlier AI wild compo and the reason why 1k intro compo was not arranged was due to it having only 3 participants year before.
Just saying that it is okay to like or dislike things, but I think world would be much better place if we would not try to justify our opinions by throwing in false claims in any topic. We unfortunately have too much of that going on these days everywhere.
Getting some glops and not wanting to see some prod making their developer extremely rich due to hefty price money are likely valid reasons enough by themselves. ;) - isokadded on the 2026-08-14 08:06:19

- So yes, AI prod for AI compo. The compo rules stated that it can be any combination of "own" work and AI stuff, and I wanted to try out full AI workflow. I really wanted to experiment on what could be currently done with full AI workflow, resisting to do any code modifications or other manual changes myself. It would likely been lots of easier to make many of those things myself, there was for example one effect which I spent 6 hours iterating with AI and going through and trying to explain what it is getting wrong and what should be changed. Something I could've made from scratch in 15 minutes. But I was hard headed to stay in "all AI" experiment.
So, interesting experiment, but also fun experiment. Fun especially because it forced to learn to accept some things as they were instead of just focusing on polishing them to exactly as I wanted and try to find other ways to polish things to make the things feel proper. A mindset that I could sometimes apply more to more "serious" non-AI prods. To better learn focus on right things.
I can strongly encourage to give these kind of test runs for AI tooling as well. Whenever you use different kind of toolset, be it AI or something else, it will force you to find new ways with the constraints it give and therefore provides nice learning experience. And its also sometimes fun to let go of some control and habits and just be able to have a laugh while devving.
The demo itself was put together during 2 week period before the party, so I was not smart or lucky enough to just one shot it. Well, not even close.
All the love to all the commenters! - isokadded on the 2026-08-07 13:26:17
- demo Windows JavaScript Asura by mfx [web]
- Big fan of MFX prods and this one is especially a true beauty. The atmosphere and ambience it builds up is just something you rarely experience in demos. Masterwork!

- demo Windows 1 Minute Wonder by Byterapers [web]
- Well deserved win. Beautifully cut to make one minute demo feel like a "complete" demo instead of showing one thing only.

- demo Windows Before Zero by Byterapers [web]
- Such a beauty. So many visual layers, all coming together with the music in extreme precision. Masterwork.

- demo MS-Dos/gus Protocode 0x28 by Byterapers [web]
- A simply mind-blowing demo. The audio-visual experience is top quality as expected from this bunch. However, the most impressive thing is the tech. Raymarching of that quality with Pentium MMX is just unreal thing to do.

- 64k demo Windows All The Lights
- Really nice and stylish 64kb prod. I was just amazed when the whole compo started with such a high quality prod.

- 4k Windows You Are What You Eat by Kooma
- Deserved winner. I think this just nails everything, beautiful visuals, perfectly fitting audio and extremely polished direction. And all that in 4k. One of the best and most polished 4k prods I have ever seen.
