• Is it a palette trick? I'm not seeing either of the poles that would show up on the usual lat/long-mapped checkerboard on a rotating sphere. :) I guess the boinging is done with scroll registers.

• Nice use of reflections to "paint" shapes (though, I wish it had at least 4x supersampling since it "runs super smooth" on a 1060). I really have a thing against mesh explosions when they don't apply any rotation to the pieces though.

• There is some leniency in the detection, it should allow an 'error' radius of a couple of pixels but maybe that's still too strict. At this screen resolution it's hard to allow reasonable error while also preventing invalid solutions from passing the check.
