- Unc (and the rest of the team, of course) strikes again! :)
That human model doesn't fit the rest, quality-wise, though. - rulezadded on the 2016-11-17 23:12:55

- @JTZ: Cxx is a ProTracker command for setting the note volume (where xx = 00..40, hexadecimal).
You start writing the pattern just with main notes as in example <A>. C40 means note here plays at full volume.
Then you simulate the first echo by placing quiter notes (example <B>) at fixed offset (2 steps, in this case), wherever possible.
Note at step 06 didn't get the echo, because a new note is masking it, but it's OK.
Remember to carry your echo onto the next pattern.
Then you repeat that again by adding the third echo bounce (as in example <C>), wherever possible.
If the echo delay & note sequence doesn't mask too much each other, you'll get a nice sounding echo effect that doesn't consume any extra channels. :)
Code:<A> <B> <C> 00 C40 C40 C40 01 --- --- --- 02 --- C18 C18 03 C40 C40 C40 04 --- --- C0C 05 --- C18 C18 06 C40 C40 C40 07 --- --- C0C 08 C40 C40 C40 09 --- --- --- 0A --- C18 C18 0B C40 C40 C40 0C --- --- C0C 0D --- C18 C18 0E C40 C40 C40 0F --- --- C0C - isokadded on the 2016-11-15 13:50:24

- @Sir, @okkie: Well, how about "no"? ;)
But if you really, really want one, generously spray dirt over your cart connector and play Stampede. ;) - isokadded on the 2016-11-15 13:23:18

- @hrw: I'm in both Altair and DMA now, so releasing as Altair I can safely greet the folks back at DMA. ;)
@Sdw: I wish. If that was true, I'd be Image-Line developing FL Studio and making tons of money from it. ;)
Nah, only the VST is mine - the black box on the right looking like it was coded to be used, but not to be watched. :) - isokadded on the 2016-11-14 23:52:29

- Looks like YouTube will downconvert to 30 FPS anything that's not at least 720p, which mostly destroyed the laser effect (I animate two sets separately and switch them really fast).
Here is a link to the more proper capture. - isokadded on the 2016-11-14 20:50:04

- @djh0ffman:
This demo actually STARTED with a track.
I wondered how the intro "pings" on your track would sound on the VCS if the echo was done the standard tracker way (pack echo with Cxx's on single channel).
And then it occured that by some weird chance you play almost only the notes that can be played on the TIA chip (with errors within reasonable margins).
You can even mix it with the original track and it will sound quite right together (but the final version might have slightly different tempo).
Are you using VCS for your daily work, or what? :D
And having soundtrack port (at least the beginning) like this, I couldn't just resist to make a full demo. :)
I still wish I had more time for polishing the soundtrack, because in the end I still had 1kB of space for the audio and one free virtual channel (my VST/player has 4 of them) in the main part - quite an opportunity to add even more details. :)
@glafouk: My VST (and the replayer for that matter) has 4 virtual channels. Every time a primary channel plays at volume 0, the corresponding secondary channel kicks in. Carefully engineer your drums (3-frame kick, 1-frame hats, etc.) and it will sound just like a slight side-chaining.
@Sdw: Yes, the demo drops proper sync from time to time, but I didn't have time to fix that at the party. - isokadded on the 2016-11-14 19:55:54

- Also, all the cool guys at Fairlight & CNCD - I hope that you don't mind that I came with this demo as a little suprise for you. ;)
