  Are you aware that OpenMPT's clipboard format is entirely text-driven? You can copy patterns to the clipboard, paste it into a text file, edit it and paste it back again into OpenMPT if you really need to.
  But entirely text-driven module formats? With samples encoded as hex or base-64 bloating the file size without contributing anything to the readability or editability of the module? Nope, that's not gonna happen. You are welcome to convert MOD files to whatever you like for your own editing purposes, but I see no point in establishing yet another format that noone (except you) will use.
  Why would you want to edit a module in a text editor anyway when you already have trackers?
