- yeah, like
- a scroller running choppy on a 1GHz machine
- 190k for a scroller and a starfield - and calling that "intro"
- "reviving" old groups without their old attitude?
Damn, the only slightly positive thing I noticed was the blatant ST-01ness of the soundtrack, but apart from that? - sucksadded on the 2002-11-18 09:41:15

- I don't really know what to say here.
As an ambient piece of "art" (oh come on, please leave this term to real artists, ok? :), it's quite ok. The slow transitions and the soundtrack are thoughtfully done (and surprisingly un-random at times), and it even has a somewhat emotional character for me...
... if it weren't for the complete ignorance of all which is demoscene culture. I definitely agree that the scene tends to get stuck in thisandthat style for at least a few years each, and there's definitely need for different, offensive prods - but only if those different prods don't forget about some basic principles of realtime and optimization. Heck, why the fuck 21MB of MP3 for a few samples which could have fit into a 1MB MO3? There isn't a single sound that justifies the usage of a streaming audio format over a tracked one in the whole thing. You could have gotten the whole thing to 2MB instead of 22 and woudln't even notice a difference - apart from the fact that there would be a lot more downloaders and a lot less flamers.
for me, teh futare si elsewehre, but as long as THIS doesn't get mainstream, why not. Let the pigface speak.

- Whow. I can definitely say that I've NEVER seen such an amount of ignorance towards even the easiest concepts of graphics programming before.
If there was something like anti-respect, I would be full of it.

- Licht: Yeah, let's give way to the political correctness. Let's remove this from Pouet. Let's edit E.T. and a dozen of other movies. Let's remove every text, every image, every piece of music and every animation that doesn't conform with the US-mandated left-wing-liberal softice mentality.
Nah, why stop here, lets remove all naughty or questionable words from our languages and call it .. hm... let's call it "newspeak"! And let's edit the history in a way that it's more harmless to the regime... we could found a "ministry of truth" or something responsible for it.
So everyone will live in total security and won't have to think about anything.

- As always, criticism first:
- the train scene was a bit too long
- next time use mipmaps... ah, no, what the hell, that may be the secret of your successfull avoidance of the "hw accelerated" look, so just go on as you wish.
Apart from that: Whow.
