hmmm I suppose you could do a dup2() /dev/fb0 to stdout/stderr which would still leave the fbdev ioctls available, and then you could use a single write(2) buffer for the entire framebuffer which gets written and then seeked back to 0 every frame... not sure if this is worth it over just a single mmap() call. dropping floats and changing to fixed-point integer stuff might get you more though :p
also nice that you could get norjohe to actually work, that codebase is incredibly cursed - isokadded on the 2020-10-06 14:15:14
