  Good use of RESMPx on the lightning part :) It could also benefit from hiding the HMOVE bars with the playfield or via HMOVE on every line (perhaps difficult with a variable-length kernel)

  This will unfortunately work differently on Stella compared to a real machine, see Call Now. But the difference is probably not very noticeable in this case

  You could do HMOVE on every line in the text part to get rid of the bars, Activision style (make the entire left a black bar), or cover them with the playfield
