- demo Amiga AGA Twenty by Drifters [web]
- I feel i should explain about my initial comment.
I watched the compo on the stream, but when i saw the video part i thought it was probably going to be another all-animation drifters demo, and kind of only half paid attention for the rest of it. I didn't realise stingray had coded it, and i missed quite a lot of the effects.
I have nothing against drifters (the total opposite, i think they're great :-).
Can't seem to watch it on my a1200, though, seems my 40" bravia doesn't like the HAM8 mpeg player for some reason. - isokadded on the 2008-03-27 12:13:58

- @raistlin
The Nintendo DS SDL doesn't support 16 bit surfaces.
I tried doing a native port, but it seems i couldn't set up a double-buffered 16bit framebuffer, and it was very slow anyway.
It IS possible to do a decent DS version by replacing the rendering routines with ones that use the 3D hardware (although the stuff that draws the lines around the edges would have to be done totally differently).
Basically, it might or might not happen. I'm seriously considering a DS version of hivelytracker, though. - isokadded on the 2008-03-27 09:36:44

- .. and now thanks to our porting machine (Blacky Stardust), we actually do have an ia64 FreeBSD binary (although its freebsd 6 not 7).
Its in untested. - isokadded on the 2008-03-25 18:25:01
