- demo Windows mush ca by TB2 [web]
- Definitely a demo I wouldn't like to meet in a dark alley at night. Scary...
This thing is more CRACKtro than anything Quartex ever made. (So to speak.) I suppose it'll appeal to someone, but not me. - sucksadded on the 2002-03-15 01:31:37
- intro Windows WinAtsou by Nasty Bugs [web]
- Yes, some very nasty bugs. 'WinAtsou' droppings now litter my screen. Guess I'll have to restart.

- demo Windows Nostalgia by SHAPE
- Ha ha! Yup, a megademo.
I never owned a C64, but my first Amiga was bought in the summer of 1989 and it only took a couple of weeks to discover the 'demoscene.' Most productions were pretty similar to this, except it took far longer to load an 880K demo from diskette than it does to download a 5 meg zip file with my cable modem!
Huh, I remember seeing an A500 demo called '64demo' or something, which was a history of C64 effects. Little did I dream I'd be watching something similar in the 21st Century.
To be honest, I don't mind 'oldskool' demos, but do prefer it when some 'newskool' techniques or design or something is used. That doesn't really happen here, but the nostalgia trip was great. (Man, megademos were loooooooong...) The only thing missing is the ability to control the vector bobs.
I still like vector bobs.
Must go now, my sinuses are blogged up! - rulezadded on the 2002-03-15 01:03:27
- demo Windows Great HiRMU SisTERS by Hirmu
- Here we have oldskool music, video footage of a C64, Great Gianna Sisters, and some hairy guy, plus some hardware 3D effects. It's all rather interesting in concept, but seems to lack polish or needs tightening up or something.

- 64k Windows bustro by Move
- This definitely looks and sounds like a demo from 1990, but even if it were released in that year I still think it wouldn't seem interesting.

- 64k Windows jagged by bypass [web] & Domage
- I kept waiting for this demo to start doing something interesting, but it never happened...

- demo BeOS Linux MS-Dos Windows SGI/IRIX Anataus 6 by Fit [web]
- I do like it when compressed video is played back *with* effects, and in some parts of this demo you get exactly that. (As stated above, the end zoomer is great.) But many times all you see is video with no effects. Not really in the spirit of realtime demos, if you ask me.

- demo Windows BillGate by kiki-prods [web]
- Isn't this sort of promoting hate, or at least a death threat or something? Kinda immature...
The 3D engine was pretty good, but I guess Bill Gates flys around because it's too hard to animate a mummy in 3D.
I'm still not too sure what the point of all this might be. I learned nothing about why Windows might be bad or why Linux might be better. - sucksadded on the 2002-03-08 00:22:00
- demo Dreamcast Variance by Haujobb
- Man, this is slick. The Dreamcast must have more power than I ever imagined! (I watched the nice high-quality divx video.)

- demo Windows Passenger 1337 by Marshals
- Ha! Looks like an A1200 demo circa 1992 or something. Moves along at a good pace and never stays at anyone effect for too long. Three and a half minutes is a good length for a demo of this type.
