• Cool stuff! Some of the textures were a bit rough but really neat concept. Reminds me a tiny bit of Luminati.

  I made something a lot like this in 64k in QBasic once. Of course it couldn't display nearly as many stars or sprites. Ran way slower too.

• I was shouting my bewilderment at the screen by the time the "copper" bars came on. And 1000 colours... madness. Hard to tell from the composite video but are your highcolour modes dithered or are you using some other absurd trick?
  
  Music was a little busy at first, but what can you do with 1bit? The jazzy melody later on worked really well though.
