- demo JavaScript FORGE by Gray Marchers [web] & Byterapers [web]
- An extra point for being only 4MB and running smoothly on my potato.
(...actually it's about 200kb + audio. :v ) - rulezadded on the 2026-02-23 09:17:55

- You do get an oink point for sparking discussion. But if the achievement here is converting a 64kb handcrafted work of art into 116MB of instant slop, I'm not feeling the excitement about it. I personally prefer the 64kb handcrafted works of art.
There are probably many ways to interpret the message here, but I was left with the thought "if you don't feel like making any effort, here's what you can do without effort these days". But that just doesn't feel like an inspiring hobby/scene for me personally. I guess I like effort. - isokadded on the 2026-02-23 09:09:55
- wild Wild Yks päivä Hesas by SceneSat [web]
- This is a visualization of all public transport in the Helsinki capital region. Making it involved recording the public position data provided by HSL for 24 hours, cleaning and optimising the data, turning it into gpx files, and writing a custom version of Route Squiggler's video renderer that could handle such a large amount.

- demo Windows Particle Vortex by CMDG Megacorporation
- The .exe uses the 16-color ANSI palette of Windows command prompt, and that's how it was shown at the party.
The youtube version has more colors because my screen capping quality was quite meh and so I used the engine's direct rendering feature instead. - isokadded on the 2026-02-22 19:13:04

- demo MS-Dos/gus Oedema animae cogunt by Rustbloom
- This seems very hi-res and smooth for a 386. If some programming magic was needed to achieve it, I'd love to read a write-up on how it was done.

- I would otherwise have a hard time deciding on the winner among all the cool entries at Assembly this year, but the impressively small file size acted as a tie breaker for me. :)

- wild Wild All Roads Lead to Assembly by SceneSat [web]
- This demo was made with Route Squiggler, a new GPX route editing/visualizing service I'm making. A decent version 1.0 is still a few months away, but if you don't mind things being a little broken until then, you can already use it at www.routesquiggler.com. :)
