p01, i think there are a lot of nice JS1K demos that can be adapted into standalone 1K javascript demos.
I had to squeeze some bytes from my original JS1K demo to fit a standalone 1K HTML file.
chudik, a 1K version in WebGL would be an interesting challenge, maybe some day i would try that...

- intro Playstation 3 Realtime Mandelbrot Fractal Zoomer by Sector One [web]
- Nice Leonard, but unlike your version, the PS3 version does not seam to use the zoom trick, every frame, every pixel seams realtime calculated probably in 1920x1080, i'm not sure about the actual resolution, but it is pretty high with a very decent frame rate.

- demo Windows fr-063: Magellan by Farbrausch [web]
Magellan's expedition of 1519–1522 became the first expedition to sail from the Atlantic Ocean into the Pacific Ocean (then named "peaceful sea" by Magellan; the passage being made via the Strait of Magellan), and the first to cross the Pacific. It also completed the first circumnavigation of the Earth, although Magellan himself did not complete the entire voyage, being killed during the Battle of Mactan in the Philippines.
Yes, i know this because i'm a Portuguese like Fernão de Magalhães ... every Portuguese know this... :P - isokadded on the 2010-12-30 02:58:19
