• no, the demo doesn't need (or even use) dualcore. what resolution/multisampling settings are you using? did you try to use a lower resolution (e.g. 800x600/640x480) with multisampling disabled?

• beautiful. love the composition, music, and the very tasteful use of poetry (which doesn't suck!). and the code is decent too, it may not be state of the art but it's solid and fast, so who cares!

• we "use them properly" in prods that natively render in widescreen mode :) (fr-025 and fr-049 for example). same thing as with videos really - the content has a certain "design aspect ratio" and we just try to display things properly without unnecessary stretching.

• psionice, your display may be widescreen, but the demo is not (it's designed for 4:3). so if you view it on a widescreen display, you get black bars on the sides. this is completely intentional and the way it's supposed to work - the aspect ratio is there to make sure that squares stay square (so to say). it doesn't change the demo itself.
