• Kekeplasteri made the GLSL visuals, and I made the music and the x86 demo framework and the Compofiller Studio "IDE". The music uses 4klang, and Crinkler is used for exe packing and linking. I'm not sure if ShaderMinifier was eventually used or not, because IIRC it had some problems digesting the code.

  There's a disparity between the moods of the music and the visuals. The music is made for a cool Extension style demo, but the visuals are from something that needs jolly rockabilly music and Irwin Goodman style vocals.

• Punqtured: yeah it's the missing sense of "mastering" in the sounds. I've only tried Oidos and Clinkster very briefly, but the more I tinker with these mini-synths and even the venerable Roland/Microsoft GS wavetable thingy for 1k intros, the less content I'm with any kind of excuses for sounding bad compared to "real" music, regardless of size constraints. I think that for every synth or other tool there's an artistic sweet spot where it works nicely and doesn't need pity compensation. But you must have the freedom to not have to do things that you can't get to work with the instrument or your skills. And isn't it the same with any instrument or tool or size limitation or other constraint?

  the visual style is a bit oldskool-kitchy, i wonder if it's intentional or accidental. if intentional, then it could have been boosted even more
  
  the audio is a bit too bright and cheap-fm-synth-ugly, not very nice to listen to, and wouldn't pass as "real music" without the size handicap pity compensation.
  
  on the positive side, the music has nice melodic and harmonic stuff, and it's in a minor key
