- Cool design. I especially dig the colors. Music also matches nicely.

- Rez: Sorry, I didn't want to compare you to Ross. (Nobody deserves that). Diversity in the demo-scene sometimes has the opposite effect: Instead of encouraging experimentation, exploration and potentially failure (and down thumbs), it pushes some artists into their special corner in which they setup a warm confortable sofa of "sceners" thumbing up yesterday. (I probably just made a couple of enemies, :-) )
I am *really* looking forward to your next productions. Try something without type :-) - isokadded on the 2011-01-11 18:12:26

- Rez: Don't get me wrong. It's obvious that your are quite talented in design and code. However, some praise the "Razor"-style as being so consistent, but I quite admire Kewlers' or Navis' ability to jump over their shadows and experiment with completely different styles. I just merely try to poke you to experiment and explore your talent. You learn most when doing the stuff you can't do.
Although some might call "razor"-style consistent, I see it as a too easy way of getting gratification. It's like Bob Ross vs. Craig Mullins. I Bob makes more money. But Craig is an artist.

- What Navis and Velo said.
Somehow, I don't get why good designers get stuck in a retro-scene-old-times-were-better-look which is completely boring (if not embarrassing) to anybody outside the scene.
On the other hand, it is good to keep up some diversity so we can get some attention as a freakish sub culture. - isokadded on the 2011-01-11 05:23:22
- demo Windows fr-063: Magellan by Farbrausch [web]
- Damn I should have attended the elitehaus!! Why did I get married anyways...
I really enjoyed this release a lot. I really dig the cloth and the fractal stuff. The space ship seems to lack a little bit of detail compared to the rest. But since it is still way beyond scene average, I should stop whining.
So it looks like the scene isn't dead (yet) and we still have a couple of years left to prove that you can do something without operator stacking :-)
Ah, and thanks for greets. Makes my chest swell with pride. :-) - rulezadded on the 2011-01-07 22:26:36

- Wow, concentrating on a single static scene and only working with camera and lighting requires some guts. Considering this restrictions, the result is quite nice. I have to try this some time ones we are back on track with our engine.
Regarding the direction, I would recommend to tell a little story like "light and dark are equal", "nowadays everything is too fast", "rotating black and quickly gives birth to color", and use the visual tools (camera, lights, shading, textures, color, fog, motion blur strength, noise, etc) as characters. When watching your product, ask yourself "what's our story?" and how could be tell it more daramatic. This is only your tool for consistent design decision. Your audience don't need to get it (necessarily). - rulezadded on the 2010-12-30 20:51:59
