- 64k Windows POST by VeCTRONiX!
- As I've said, it was meant to be mainly a test of our tool, so there is no design in this production. This intro isn't classical 'coded' intro, so what you can see isn't a bunch of creations from happy coder. It's rather graphician playing and learning the tool. After so much time spent on the tool I just wanted to release something what can prove it works. It still lacks post-processing, shaders, HDR and other hi-tech things, but you can expect them to be introduced in future productions.
If you still don't believe, here is a screenshot from the tool:

Yes, general tool design is similar to .werkkzeug1, but I think it's the best way of creating 64k intros, so big respect to Farbrausch for inventing it! The tool was coded from scratch by me and we didn't get any help from FR - we only learned ourselves how .wz1 works and decided that the same approach will work for us. Don't blame us for this - I'm sure some of you have already copied design from 3ds max and other tools. There is still much work to be done, but we are going to do it. Stay tuned for our future productions.
All demotool haters: in my optnion the tool is the only way to achieve smooth teamwork between artists and coders in making 64k, which also allows putting a lot of high quality content in 64k (ok, our demo isn't high quality, but take a look at FR or Conspiracy productions for better examples).
megadelux: I really wonder how have you managed to break into my computer and take a look at the code, so you can judge it. - isokadded on the 2005-09-20 00:09:47

- dipswitch: Yes. Slippy from the old VeCTRONiX created vectronix.org board and it was his idea to call our group this way.

- VeCTRONiX as a demogroup has never released any .werkkzeug production. Earlier vectronix.org used to be just .werkkzeug1-related forum, but some of us (including admins) decided to try forming real demogroup, with tools written by ourselves.
KAi: Do you have DirectX 9.0c (December 2004 or newer) and newest drivers? - isokadded on the 2005-09-19 00:39:27

- Well, this, as name states, was created mainly to test our demotool V-Constructor, so scenes aren't connected too each other too much. Our future intros will surely have better design than this one.
Anyway, it seems that the tool has proven itself, which was the point. - isokadded on the 2005-09-18 23:18:23

- Correct download link is:
http://scene.org/file.php?file=%2Fparties%2F2005%2Fstream05%2Fin64%2Fvx-post.zip&fileinfo
(it seems that scene.org admins renamed the file to lowercase)
The intro is packed with MuCruncher and some not very intelligent virus scanners may assume that every .exe packed with MuCruncher is infected (at least I know that that's the case with McAffe and Upack). - isokadded on the 2005-09-18 20:39:13

- Really cool, although adding normalmaps and HDR (or at least overbright) wouldn't hurt. :)

- Some scenes look a bit unfinished, but some others just rock. :)

- - ps2.0? if you asked me, it looks like it's going to run smoothly on geforce2-class cards
- yes, I don't like it :) - isokadded on the 2005-08-08 13:13:39
- 64k Windows SUBOCEANIC by Tomasz Dobrowolski
- VoxLap was written by Ken Silverman (the creator of Duke Nukem 3D engine). Tom's parts are cave and texture generation algorithms. Anyway, it would be nice to have Ken somewhere around on the demoscene. :)
