- @jco: it's not, apparently and obviously design wins big time, it's just a sentiment to old and even non-existing times when pure-tech ruled the world.
Also, sorry for maybe being to harsh, what you did is good, just IMHO you could do a little bit more on a tech-side (hint: Fairlight, even Cocoon lately, where is some advanced lighting stuff? some volumetric stuff? some fluids? anything?).
But of course it's your choice, if you don't care about tech-savvy audience and this is not your target audience - fine for me. As pixtur said - variety is good. Apparently many people love it, I'm totally ok with that. Sorry again, for picking the "wrong channel on a TV set" then ;) - isokadded on the 2015-03-23 17:18:30

- @pixtur: I didn't mean disrespect. My comments has nothing to do with a tool.
Just, I want to enjoy the demo aesthethically and at the same time be pleasently surprised or even excited about new/unusual rendering/procedural generation technique etc... And to be honest, particle effects (even if plenty), explosions and a mesh deformed by a noise are not exactly a novelty for me - but maybe I am missing something here? - isokadded on the 2015-03-23 16:29:45

- @Preacher: sure, I understand, you didn't write many lines of code for a while, so you are excused ;) But even credits says it "started as a test".
I can agree that artistic direction is interesting, by I take into account that it was alx behind it, and as I checked out his other prods he can do way better than this.
Another thing is he is using a decent tool, so he can tweak parameters as long as he pleases - which is a good thing, but as long as there is a technical depth behind it!
And this is exactly what I am missing here and what is differentiating (to me) demoscene productions from say non-realtime motion graphics.
If I turn off my right-brain-hemisphere and rely only on the left one, it's not so terrible, but I have both fully activated, ok? - isokadded on the 2015-03-23 15:38:18

This is probably my favorite demo in the last 10 years or so.
I didn't give thumb down, because I appreciate the effort of developing a tool, plus in hands of some experienced artist (alx) overall it's not so terrible terrible.
But I just cannot stand a comment like this, also by a well respected demomaker as Preacher is.
Seriously, it looks to me like a first try of a tool - I think even authors know they could do better than this. And you guys are into "let's be positive" trip or something? - isokadded on the 2015-03-23 15:05:09

- A thumb up for Navis' comments.
Additionally I'm tired of low-quality stuff hidden behind "artistic artifacts" and "cool" glitches, like come on, really? - isokadded on the 2015-03-21 21:25:45

Thanks for the comment. My biggest problem is in fact making those surfaces more interesting/less repetitive in appearance. Unlike KIFS, I wanted to avoid "kaleidoscopic effect". The best results so far are included in part 2, but it's still not overly exciting - I can totally agree on that! - isokadded on the 2014-10-20 00:48:51
