- 64k Windows Dead Ringer by Fairlight [web]
- kb: "total code reuse"? pot kettle. :)
there's actually quite a lot of new code in here (all the ik anim code, the city generator, the growing graf), but maybe it's so totally masked under the wannabe ghetto bullshit that you cant see it. :)
seriously tho - if you think all our demos and intros look the same .. ouch. maybe your thinking is along the lines of "no particles, no scene poetry, no envmapping, hardly any glow, no dubious trance/ebm music.. all looks+sounds the same". in which case, im proud that it all looks and sounds the same, and i'll continue doing that for years to come. :) although not for 64k, this was the last fake ghetto style recycled crap with the same old tune you'll have to put up with from us.
valid point about the shadows though - the shadowmap simply isnt big enough for the scene. but hey, it's slow enough already i think. :) - isokadded on the 2006-08-07 18:44:13

- 64k Windows fr-048: precision by Farbrausch [web]
- some of the 3d doesnt look nice at all. apart from the logos and the island scene i thought it looked quite bad actually.. sorry.
_great_ soundtrack though, which deserves the thumb alone.

- 64k Windows Chaos Theory by Conspiracy [web]
- easily the best cns 64k ever in all areas. very very good work. you really made the old tool sing - it didnt need anything more on the technical side.
i think you guys are the exact opposite to us in style.. which is great - variety is the spice of life. =) - rulezadded on the 2006-08-07 10:26:56
- 64k Windows Dead Ringer by Fairlight [web]
- ho..
i wasnt aware of any problems running this - should work on win2k, all ps2.0 cards with fp texture support (altho speed varies :) ).. so if you have a crash, drop me a line. - isokadded on the 2006-08-07 10:16:38
- demo Windows Track One by Fairlight [web]
- as you might guess, this seriously ended up rushed and unfinished. was finally handed in about 1 day late.. there was hardly time to fill all the parts in, let alone fix the many bugs, loading speed (which is a joke), running speed and filesize. and some parts are total filler.
give us a few weeks or so and we'll fix a remix which should hopefully be what this demo _should_ have been. :)

- kb: come on, we didnt pay the 2000$ license fee for werkzeug so you'd stop releasing new versions!
oh.. wait. - isokadded on the 2006-08-01 12:26:00
- diskmag Windows Hugi #32 - Say It With Flowers by Hugi [web]
- it's at least better than the last few issues - a return to the good old sub-mediocrity of the early 20s issues.
the interviews (i mean the ones by adok and magic here) were fucking piss-poor. magic just seems to use the same question sheet every time, without a thought to who he is interviewing - have some respect and know who you're talking to. i'd be insulted if an interviewer did that to me. come on, when you're interviewing boyc you can surely think of some interesting questions to ask, not generic shit like "what is the best routine/_music_ you have ever made? and why?" or "what programs do you use for making a demo/intro"?
adok's were just completely lacking in depth or interest. interviews could be one of the best parts of a mag, but here they are generally awful.
printing the lame-ass reply from the ellesdee guys about grapevine - that's something most self-respecting diskmag editors probably wouldnt touch.
some of the music and gfx is rather familiar, btw. and the charts had so few voters that they were pointless. oh well.
