- menace: there is a difference between true randomness and cherry-picked seeded randomness. For example, you can set a list of camera change _timings_ based on the soundtrack and leave the rest to themselves. :)

- demo Windows Väre by Brainstorm [web]
- Different, and calming. Nobody knows lines and glow like Preacher. :) The tune was also quite nice. The movement and camerawork felt a little random though.

- Woah - first prod? AWESOME!

- 4k Windows Enlighten by BluFlame [web] & TGGC
- Once I get over the brown, it gets way better. :) Yes, it's "yet another raymarcher", but it is on the upper scale of things. I like it when raymarching-intros don't just show "semi-random never-ending landscapes" and actually use the technology to try to put on a show. Clearly, some thought and care went into both cameras and rooms in this one -- well done!

- If you can't do music, you shouldn't.

- demo Windows Escape by Pyrotech
- It saddens/annoys me that the Pyrotech guys have been around for over 10 years, KNOW how to code, KNOW how to make graphics and KNOW how to make demos -- and yet, seeminly, haven't learned diddly squat about how to convey neither emotion nor tell a story. From beginning to end, I have no idea what's going on -- it's more or less an utter mess of a thousand ideas (and no really good ones), and well... seriously -- get a grip :)
Apart from that, this is a damn solid prod, and although the music might not be my preference, it isn't bad.
Also: fuckings to people downthumbing size these days. - isokadded on the 2012-08-07 13:41:26
- demo JavaScript exodus by #cubernicus [web]
- The music is wonderful -- sounds 99% like a Radix-track anno 2000 :)

- demo Windows Spacecut by Carillon & Cyberiad [web]
- After a few rewatches at home, my comment about the too-long scenes still stand firmly planted in reality IMHO. Especially the second text-effect seems almost like a filler, plus the violinist remains on screen for at least 15-20 seconds too long. However, it does feel a lot more coherent when viewed at home.
What really bugs me now is how on EARTH it manages to drop frames with a GTX 690(!). THAT is bewildering :) - isokadded on the 2012-08-06 21:53:36
