- demo SNES/Super Famicom Smash It by Elix
- Of course this is a cool demo and it looks and sounds super nice. However, I have an issue with it. "nu" was like a breath of fresh air, clear, minimalistic and perfectly smooth, flowing without "scenes" or "effects". "Smash It", on the other hand, feels a little like a Titan wannabe, "Overdrive" with "over" missing, which is not the worst model example, I suppose, but a bit too conservative. Please consider doing some more of your free-flowing stuff, leave Titan to try bettering Titan at Titan's game :)

- demo ZX Spectrum ray by Ivan Roshin
- This demo was not very good when it was created and it did not age well. It is a one-trick pony, overloaded with raster-type effects, mainly focussed on overscan drawing. The author does not provide enough variation to effects, with each effect hanging on without any change for way too long. However, the overscan effects are pretty cool for its time and couple of them could still be made to work even in a modern demo, so that is why I feel the need to thumb this up.

- demo Windows TPB-06: Excessination by The PIMP Brigade & Inque [web]
- I liked the highly stylized looks and bold work with colours (which seems to be the signature of Inque). The fact that the scenes are disjointed did not bother me at all. However, there is one thing which is certainly not right with this prod: the 1970s layers are way too clinical, too spotless. They give many scenes an eerie feeling of a sterile Windows background, esp. when combined with less flat (e.g. bump-mapped) objects.

- demo ZX Spectrum Gift 4 prof4d 38 by Kpacku
- Once again, Kpacku show who is the daddy in gift-making on the modern ZX Scene. It is a neat thing that looks both effortless and unforced. An explosion of colour comes as a standard.

- demo ZX Spectrum Potrysing Megademo by AAA Band
- I am a little bit tired of these debates, but I do have something to say about pure-animation demos. I think they are the demoscene equivalent of what punk was to the rock music in the 1970s. They are forms of expressing the demoscene sensibilities by people who, for various reasons, are not sufficiently strong technically. And for all their deficiencies, I believe that they may often be more "alive" then some of the more technically-minded productions.
AAA demos have many faults. He typically steals and modifies graphics without permission of the original authors and a lot of his music tends to be taken from old warez collections where the authors are either unknown or hard to get in touch with. His sense of pacing is bad and his taste for scene design is... let us just say it is not universally appreciated. But what you also get is a lot of genuine passion for the scene and humour and just sheer damn enthusiasm for everything scene-related.
This is why I am giving this abomination of a demo a thumb up. - rulezadded on the 2014-11-10 16:03:44
- demo Windows Hurtquake by Excess [web]
- Loved every second of it. Proper sync porn esp. at the beginning, clever way to use a mini-pause for a quick credits and convincing build up of action. I do not mind that it is a little weak on concept, because there are times when all one needs is a little bit of sub-woofer action.

- demo ZX Spectrum Sabrina Demo by The Lords
- @Yerzmyey: This is the text from the scroller in Mirage Demo by Hacker Chris (released in August 1989): "GREETINGS TO: [...] BR0MBA (WHEN YOU'LL FINISH YOUR SABRINA 48???) [...] SPECIAL HELLO: LORD INSANITY (I'VE ANSWERED FOR YOUR CALLING IN SABRINA 128 DEMO!!!)."
So, you are absolutely right :) - isokadded on the 2014-11-06 21:49:39

- demo ZX Spectrum Sabrina Demo by The Lords
- Note that this prod looks like the original port of the Atari demo and that the previously available prod by br0mba seems to be a hack of it.
