- demo Atari VCS Egypt, 2600BC by Genesis Project [web]
- Adorable graphics. The idea of use altered line colors an interleaved elements is so cool. Great transitions also. Using a two line kernel to do the Kefrens fits well. Had not seen the twisting and lightsource of the blocks in the scarabaeus parts in on the big screen - excellent detail. Clever choice with $3f. I think I should give that a try one day. Yes, it's a bit short and probably 16k would be possible, but $700 bytes per graphic take their toll and hey, compo rules say 32k.

- 32k Atari VCS 40years by Flush
- Hats off for having the guts to finish it at the party place. Watched it 4 times in a row now to see all the details and I have to say I like every part. Took quite a white to figure why the vector animation looks so good. I wonder how large it is in ROM. And the hires pictures are wonderful. The tune and the "2 colors per line should be enough for everybody" texter and graphics make you forget about the resolution. Woodgrain, catchy end tune, that...
Did I already say I like every part? - rulezadded on the 2017-12-13 22:12:05

- demo Atari XL/XE Prozac Dream by Lamers
- Never expected to see the final 'cause I know how things typically go...
Outstanding final result - big respect for making it happen against all odds!
And PLEASE fix the youtube to a proper capture of the final instead of last year's preview! - rulezadded on the 2017-12-12 22:19:26
- demo Atari STe Bad Apple!! by Fenarinarsa [web]
- For me Bad Apple is not like doom but rather like the "Hello World" of the demo scene. You can tweak it to the specific of your beloved platform and learn from that how your ideas work. And you can set your own limits and conquer them. This one if a nicely done version. Didn't expect it to be 4 planes when it first started, but that really pays off in term of smoothness.
