- intro MS-Dos Merry Christmas from Saastasoft! by Saastasoft [web]
- I thought QBASIC was pretty cool when I learned it nine years ago. Now that I program real-time raytracers and 4K intros in raw assembly, QBASIC doesn't seem so cool anymore. There are better languages out there, so there is no reason to release junk like this these days.

- 256b MS-Dos 255b Plasma by Tyler Durden
- Plasma may not be futuristic or even particularly cool, but this prod has a good solid feel to it. It is nicely done.

- musicdisk Windows Threeovus by SandS [web]
- Most excellent production. I listen to music whenever I code, and I love ambient most of all. This prod will lend itself to many hours of blissful coding.

- The exiting instructions only work for Windows 98, where pressing alt-enter puts the program into a window which you can close by pressing the X button. On an NT-class machine, press alt+enter to minimize the window. Right-click on the intro's task-bar button, and select Close.

- demo Windows Trezebees by SlinLine Productions [web]
- This is nice if you like ray-tracing. The scenes are a bit minimalistic, and the adaptive subsampling algorithm blurs the grapics in many places. Still, the demo looks and feels more ray-traced than most other ray-tracing demos. Nice for a C++ raytracer.

- demo Windows Still Sucking Nature by Federation Against Nature [web]
- I get worse FPS than this with some so-called accelerated demos. The demoscene is all about coding skillz, and this is where the skillz are at. It takes more skill to write your own ray-tracing rendering engine from the ground up and optimize the s* out of it than it does to feed some wimpy triangles to DirectX. So what if the FPS is lower?

- demo MS-Dos Spaceless by Portal Project
- This is my favorite text mode demo. I love the style and the music. I want a GUS just to play this demo.

- demo MS-Dos/gus riprap by Exceed [web]
- This demo seems to have two parts. The first part with the zooming and scrolling is OK, but the second part rulez! Dance! Dance! Dance!
