- demo JavaScript obsidian by xplsv [web]
- Oh boy, oh boy - finally a new XPLSV!
Not even sure what I'm more excited about, that framejs got a couple of lines more code or that one finally can meet XPLSV purple again.
However for the prod itself, the things that sticked out to me the most where the tune and the sync, both rock - and give me a tense feeling that something big will happen - which unfortunately never does. Though with the fine selected colours it's quite enjoyable - and having read that this was done in a hurry it's quite amazing.
YAY! <3 - rulezadded on the 2013-07-28 01:44:18
- demo JavaScript Where no one can hear you scene by Outracks [web]
- For some reason the first thing that sprung into my mind when watching it on the stream was: "hey! Gerbera 2!". Which totally isn't a bad thing.
Whowever did the models and the textures sure knows their stuff, the animations are so damn cute - that it made me crack up and wanting to hug those two. And what could possibly go wrong if Irvin does the tune, yet another piece of music that will loop here forever.
It sure doesn't feel feel like the usual Outracks demo, however it's so far the best and most memorable JS demo for me - and would even rock as PC demo too.
Good work you crazy awesomnists <3 - rulezadded on the 2013-07-24 20:53:30
- wild ZX Enhanced Kiss Kill by Gasman & Candy Says [web]
- That was quite cool, not a fan of the music either - but mate - what you did with the sync there - I totally saw it. Nice work, and ace you landed that gig - well deserved! You rock! <3

- demotool Windows JsExe by adinpsz [web]
- Wrote the first draft of a wrapper to make it usable for using Grunt as as a task, I skipped the PNG optimizer and ByteOrder option for now - because I think they're both good default and nobody(?) wants to change them anyways.

Thanks for bringing JsExe, it just amazing how small it get's the code - I tried to do it on my own last week. Using p01s release from demojs and trying to make it smaller, didn't manage to do it - and capped at 19kb above what JsExe produced. It's just nuts :D - rulezadded on the 2013-07-08 23:46:55
- demo Linux Windows Chimera by Halcyon
- CCE sent me here after a short discussion about saudade and the feeling it transports (for me). This one needs the special mood as well, but hey it's Sunday and I still have coffee.
Somehow such conceptional demos always make my mind come up with stories, like as a kid when you played VCS and the blocks became turtles that had to go home - and the bullies wouldn't let it (that's what I came up with for playing pong O_o)
This feels like being an astronaut, accidentally finding a spaceship cemetery far beyond Jupiter, he does his EVA and just floats - being somehow scared but also mesmerized by the view.
And sure, one could be unimaginative and just see dumb blocks with hairy lines,- but one can also just let go and enjoy the view, regardless how big the mp3 is. Sometimes it's more about the product, then the way it was produced (at least for me). - rulezadded on the 2013-07-07 13:08:54
- demo Windows Saudade by Satori [web] & Halcyon
- I don't know why, but the music just pops into my head now and then - together with the feel of relaxation. That's the moment where I have to watch it again, and again - and it doesn't get old for me at all. It's Sunday today, I sit here with coffee - headphones on, and just watched it again.
It's weird that I thought after kkowboy I'd never rewatch a demo so often, or that I somehow would ever get so attached to a demo like we all do to the classics, but this - this just clicks with me.
Somehow I can imagine seeing this in ten years from now, and still get the feeling of being totally relaxed <3 - isokadded on the 2013-07-07 12:37:31

Nice mesmerizing lavalamp, that looks better with bottled motion blur <3 - rulezadded on the 2013-07-07 12:12:13
