- Zplex: oh, i thought TMB had done that long ago. No damage here.
Still.
- How did you manage to make the engine run at an acceptable framerate (no miracle with core2 and gf7950 tho) but it still stutters like a Parkinson victim on steroids?
- How old is your musician? 12? Damn, do you really think throwing a few overused chip samples together and knowing three mod effects is enough? I don't want to disappoint you, but we in the demoscene actually DO appreciate a certain musical understanding above "i got that bontempi keyboard as a child and it totally rocks. if i only knew what the black keys were for...", thank you.
- speaking of "understanding"... there are tutorials out there how to make blur/radialblur/hypnoglow for years now, how did you manage to ignore ALL advances made on the image postproc front since 1999?
- and how DARE you write "design" into your credits when it's obvious that no design skill at all went into the visuals? The colors are ugly as fuck, none of the scenes make the slightest sense on both the aesthetic and the semantic level, and the whole thing leaves a definite impression of being completely empty and "we didn't have the slightest idea what to do so we just threw a few cubes together". Yeah right.
- and seriously, Smash Designs demos aren't exactly the right place to rip the fonts from, sorry ;)
One constructive advice? Go back to your computers and start practicing. And then, in about five years, when that small feeling in your stomach that constantly says "I suck in comparison" has alomst gone away, THEN start releasing. But this one seriously hurts. - sucksadded on the 2006-10-08 15:07:41

- after much consideration I decide to give this a thumbs up although it's utterly boring and as little effort as some thoughtful manual creature design could have helped without diluting the concept too much.
Still:
+ 1in10's f*d up soundscapes are getting better and better
+ apart from the shadow glitches and the trademark uncle-x "too few bits everywhere" syndrome it's just beatufully rendered
+ mad props for simply trying out stuff. - rulezadded on the 2006-10-03 15:21:25

- We had full permissions to use the sound track - if that counts as "half ripped" already, I can't help.

- The demo itself didn't really manage to catch my attention and would normally be rated pigface, but still: an upward thumb for the music. Cool.

- I'm with break.
Though I want to add that it kind of scares me that so many people compliment this demo on its end part when it was just one nice design idea... Is the scene really THAT dead that one simple good-old-amiga-93-style transition manages to stir up you so much? Scary. - rulezadded on the 2006-09-17 23:27:13

- Interesting.
Will make up my mind later.
Until the for the 3fps people: video (xvid,mp3) (might take a while until the mirrors have it, use ftp1 if it doesn't work)
