• Yes it's slow, the size makes there is no speed optimisation in that, and there is a big bunch of faces with all these cubes which create big bunch of faces for stencil tests. Yes shadows are cpu calculated (no use of shaders at all).
  I've done some tests, there is a speed fall with some drivers : i couldnt get the same framerate i've had when making video, cause i had changed drivers (dont remember with version), but yesterday i installed the last nvidia drivers, i just tested now to launch it : i get 20fps (more than in the video) on my gfFX5700 - Athlon 64 3200+. So try with the last drivers. ( i don't know where come the framerate with others drivers, i'll try to check that, if i can, it looks like a malfunction in the init which create bpp conversion or something like that... )
